It’s already bad enough we get the shortest month of the year … I say we take some more days for ourselves starting on MLK Day !!! ✊✊✊ #mlk #blackhistory #blackhistorymonth #blackpride #blackisbeautiful
HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!!
This month is a month to celebrate our black heritage; who we were, who we are, and who we will be in the future. We are a people ever rising, and ever strong. We have gone through so many things but have been able to rise out of the ashes. May we continue to thrive, and may our legacy in this country continue to grow. THIS month, as well as all the other months in the year, i encourage you, my brothers and sisters, to show respect to all the amazing and inspiring African Americans who came before us. Keep your head held high, and your fists higher.
SAY IT ONCE, SAY IT LOUD…I’M BLACK AND I’M PROUD!
Lml happy #BlackHistory month to my #niglets

“Last year, we marked Black History month with a summary of some of the excellent resources on Black History available in the ARTstor Digital Library, including many collections that cover African art and culture. This year, we expand the list to include a variety of additional resources that focus on the lives and achievements of African Americans in particular.” (ArtStor)
I have to make a presentation for my Natural Sciences class tomorrow. Naturally, as I am going to an HBCU and tomorrow is the first day of black history month, we had to choose black scientists.
I chose Mae Jemison, because she’s an absolute badass.
This is my presentation.
(Except the ‘babe’ slide, I just wanted to let it be known on Tumblr that Mae Jemison was hot.)
Hopefully it doesn’t get me in trouble.
